Hey, had anyone had this problem before? We can get into ECAS no problem but tonight I called the CIC automated line like I do every week to get an update. I put in the information properly three times and it said it couldnt find our application. Does this happen sometimes? I know we are due for a BGC any day now but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it

Yes I noticed this last night as well. Still the same this morning. Hopefully the issue is resolved soon

If you pay attention after you enter date of birth it started saying that if family member i outside Canada then check status online. I think they have changed this option and only inland applicants can check their status.

They used to say that before as well" you can check your status online if you applied outside of canada" but we never know, may be they changed it as you said
 
Don't know if this is still active but how did you guys contact cic outside to get automated status update?
