Hi All,
I would like to take the IELTS test in October. I am confused whether I should appear at British Council or IDP. My agent was telling me that British Council is far easier and easy to score as well. Is there any truth in it?
I am super confused. Please advice.
Thank you.

Doesn't make any difference in my opinion

The agent says that IDP is very tough and difficult to score. But British council is comparatively easier. Anyone who can help me plsss.

In addition to everything else said earlier, both these organizations are committed partners along with Cambridge University in developing, promoting, administering and assessing the test for more than 25 years. British Council runs more IELTS test centres and conducts more IELTS tests worldwide than IDP - that's possibly the only real difference between the 2 organizations where IELTS is concerned.

There could be country specific differences in test administration. IDP does partner with local entities (even outsource at times) to conduct the tests while BC is always in-house. That might have led to some negative incidents in the past which fueled these rumors. If you're worried, go with BC (even though it doesn't matter who you test with).

All the best!
