Child's birth not registered yet, got an ITA, what to do?

Hi everyone,

We had a baby a couple of weeks ago. I included him as a dependent on our application, but we ended up getting invited in the very next draw. We have submitted his birth registration online but we can't completely the application because he doesn't have any citizenship/government ID document information that we can include. I can't get a hold of anyone in IRCC and can't find any answers online. By the time the birth certificate comes, the time limit to submit the application will probably have expired.

Does anyone know what to do in this situation?

Just submit what you have. When you receive the birth certificate and staff, you raise a webform.

Thanks for your reply, I can't submit anything though. It's asking for a government ID or passport number for the baby, which we don't have yet. So there is a section with a dependent that we cannot complete.

Im not sure which provide your from but if you go with statement of live birth to service Canada you are able to get SIN number. Doesn't that work? or call the birth certificate application center and probably ask for expedited process. or just the numbers that they will put.
