Children background check. Parents who filed for FSW please help!!!

Starting what age should we file background check papers for kids? We went to get our fingerprints done today and they refused to do my 4 year old's fingerprints saying he is a minor and they do not do it usually. I am assuming we will get the same response from FBI (We are in US). The Canadian immigration web site says 'Generally it is required for dependents 18 years and older', What to do?

No need for fingerprints for your 4 year olds child unless he or she is 18 and over.

Yes my friend, no background check for kids. The only thing you will need for your child will be the medical (just the physical, no urine and no x-ray).
