Child is Canadian but in Philippines for 3 years already

hello everyone, i need an answer, ideas or advices about this matter.
Situation is parents are X-workers in Canada and has a child who’s born in Canada. They’re in the Philippines for almost 3 years already and still hoping to go back in Canada. The child will go to school but school requires permit to study because child is only canadian citizen. (Didn’t apply for dual citizen) any idea where to get the study permit and how much it will cost? Thank you.

The child is a Canadian citizen and is entitled to attend school without a study permit. If the child doesn't have a citizenship certificate yet, the parents should apply for one as soon as possible. Note that only the child is entitled to live in Canada and attend school in Canada - the parents are not.

Just to be sure, is this schooling in the Philippines, or is it in Canada?

1. Note that this is a forum where most experts know Canada and not the Philippines so you may not get a lot of answers

2. My youngest daughter was born in Canada but studied in the Philippines, we opted to get her dual citizenship. It costs less and will allow domestic tuition rates. If you get a study permit, you need to pay international student rates.
