Hello everyone!

So I put in an application to sponsor my husband. We had a baby here in Canada and so I have been on maternity leave since July. I started looking into daycare and found out that I have the option to go into subsidized daycare. I called the city to apply but increase they found out that my husband was not here, I was told I don't qualify. Has anyone of you been in this situation?

P.s. I read somewhere that I can appeal the decision. How do I go about it?

Your question is how to appeal the decision that you do not qualify for subsidy? If so, could NRA talk them and indicate that you are a single parent. Unless your income in the last 3?momghs was significantly larger that's what I would do here in Alberta. Maybe be diff province to
Province.

Who is the NRA? I sent an email to my mp. Hopefully that jelps

Can I get an update from you as to what happened? I was more worried it would be considered 'assistance' which would then make me ineligible to sponsor my husband. I haven't called to apply for the subsidy yet..

I am in the similar situation--my husband became a PR in March 2016 and I'd like to apply for subsidized child care but i was told i MIGHT not qualify because im still under the 36 month undertaking...does anyone know if this will be a problem??
