Hey, my wife and I arrived in Canada 20 months ago. About 17 months ago, our baby was born as a Canadian citizen. We hold permanent residency. We just applied for the Child Benefit, as we could only do so from the 19th month since our arrival. I was wondering, since our baby is Canadian, will she receive her benefits retroactively from the day she was born, or only from the time we started our 19th month here? Thank you!

Child benefit is based on parents qualifying not the child. If you are PRs you qualified from arrival for CCB.
