Hello,

I live in London England and was going through the checklist and ran into Settlement funds (If applicable). My questions is:

- Do you need to have this part of your application when you first apply?
- If yes, it states that I need to show proof of funds to the Canadian visa office in my country. Is there some sort of submission process because I cannot find anything official on their website (http :// www . canadainternational . gc . ca/ci-ci/index.aspx?lang=eng)

I know I'll need a bank draft with the balance in CAD but is there anything else I can use? I have a car paid off, I have a mortgage, etc.

Please advise.

Thanks!

- Yes, you need to provide proof of settlement funds when you first apply.
- You should include a bank statement or something similar that shows you have sufficient funds to meet the settlement fund minimum (not a bank draft).
- No, you can't include a car in your settlement fund.

Thanks. Do I need to go to the office here in London or just include the bank statement in my application when I send it in?

Include the bank statement when you submit your application package.
