Checking Client Application Status?

I have a quick question, how do I check the status application on the cic website? I mailed out my forms a week ago and it says they have recieved according to the post office...do I have to wait for an email to sign in? I tried to sign into the client application status page but not sure if I have to put in my info(sponsor) or my husbands info(applicant)-it just comes up as unable to identify...any advice?

You will have to wait until Stage 1 is done and they send you your client ID as it goes to your VO. So you have a 2-3 month wait ahead before you can check.

Ah ok, great...thanks for that! not that I have any kids yet, but this whole process kinda feels like what it must feel like to be pregnant, the waiting game, the emotional roller coaster ride, the unknown!

You can also try using the receipt number and the sponsors details, but again, you won't be able to view any info until around the time they are working on your application - 75 days according to website (although it says they are still only working on applications from 90 days ago!)
