To me this looks more like a reference letter when you want to apply for a new JOB. For immigration, see the required contents listed in Appendix A of visa office processing you case.

Referance letters should be written by former employers only.

I got reference letters like that from my employers for my immigration and actually one of them I had to write myself because my former employer just told me write what you want, I will sign it.

actually i am not telling my employer that i am applying for immigration thats why this reference looks like this.
Does this work with CIC ? or what should i edit ?

Yeah, it should work for CIC but check the intructions for if they say they need something to be said in there that isn't. I think mine looked very similar to this.

Sorry where i can find intructions.. i am goin to apply thought Cairo, Egypt CIC

If this is your reference letter what about your education? I mean the education make points in self assessment test. If you have not enough years of education your points will be at least under 67. Which is a minimal level.

If you want to be recognised as a cook from CIC (n0 6242 Cooks) you should include the fallowing duties in your reference letter:
Main duties
Cooks perform some or all of the following duties:

* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
* Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
* Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
* Oversee kitchen operations
* Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
* May set up and oversee buffets
* May clean kitchen and work area
* May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
* May hire and train kitchen staff
* Cooks may specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic cuisine or special dishes.

and you are able to see them here

Yes, i did some of those duties. My question is about proof of work experience because only i can get proof is the reference letter and i want to make sure that the CIC will accept it or not.

Actually they want reference letter with following attributes
Letters must be written on company letterhead and show the company’s full
address, telephone and fax numbers, and be stamped with the company’s official
seal.
So if you have provide them this kind of letter I think it is enough.

i can't get it stamped.. i heard that its enough if supervisor signed it and gave his number. so is this right?
