Hi All

After looking into the cost of shipping containers (UK to Canada) I found the fees were too high and it was more cost effective to send a lot of my stuff to auction instead (especially furniture) and buy new stuff in Canada, plus we already have quite a lot of furniture etc. in Canada.

Personal belongings (clothes, gadgets, photo albums...) have gradually made their way across the Atlantic in luggage with the numerous trips we've been doing back and forth. However I have a few items that are not particularly worth all that much but would still like to bring but are too heavy for taking in luggage, i.e. a few ornaments and especially my toolbox.

It seems so much cheaper to put your toolbox in a shared container than pay the actual cubic feet and weight price, and I don't mind waiting...I just wondered if others have found any ingenious ways to move a toolbox from the UK to Canada on the cheap?

;)

What about putting your toolbox inside a box, and then check the whole thing in as (plane) luggage, next time you're going to Canada? Most airlines allow 2 luggages per person, and each extra one usually costs $150 =P
