We do not see lot of activity at CHC NEw Delhi now a days. I think the Student Visa rush has taken toll over the PR process

Recently, I applied for Schengen Visa and got it in 15 days. Ealrier at 2 occassions I got it in 3 days and 5 days. The response for delay was tourist and Student visa rush.

Yes, Delhi CHC has definitely slowed down.

The way CHC Delhi is going, I hope we all will have something to hear by this year. February backlog is being processed. Dont know when April and May applications will be processed.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Best of luck to all.

The speed of average processing of a visas depend on the daily receipt of applications and the work load due to any shortage of office staff. I think the number of visa applications (all kind) have rapidly increased especially from the start of the Spring/Summer.

Definately New delhi has been slow down I guess chc received lots of application because earlier their was rumour that new list for skiled category will published due to these lots of people applied in fear that their NOC will remove..

any stats on how many students even go to Canada!! it's not like US embassies being flooded with students- well used to be at least years ago.

No stats

I was just guessing, looking at CHC ND Speed and also based on my exp with Schengen Visa. Thats why I started the thread to see what other people might be thinking.

But if you look at March and April ND threads, I think it is clear beyond doubt that PR application processing has slowed down a bit

CHC ND has made seperate section dealing with FSW applications. The burden of visitor visa is not shared by them.

Ank

I assumed and so far what I have seen gave me an idea that CHC ND is the fastest of all CHCs around the world. India being among the countries that Canada trust the most, getting the nods.

CHC Singapore is taking 6-7 months now to send medicals.
CHC ND also handles more n more full docs these days, and the stockpile is growing everyday, Heaps of full docs. Their resource is limited.
