Hi,

I'll be traveling to Canada in 3-4 months and have booked round-trip tickets from India. However, there is a possibility that I will have to travel to the US from Canada and return to India from there. I'm not entirely sure of that yet and I don't have the tickets (for the US trip) either. Should I apply for the Canada visa with my current return ticket (to India) and if I do, will it cause me problems if I travel to the US from Canada?

Thanks.

EDIT: The issue here is I'm not going to be booking the US tickets, so I don't know whether I will have a provisional / confirmed ticket (for the US) when I apply for a visa (for Canada). I will have the return tickets to India however, although I'll probably not be using them.

Hi,

Firstly, it is not necessary to submit confirmed plane tickets for your Canada TRV application. You can provide provisional ticket bookings which can be confirmed when the visa is issued to you.

Secondly, there is no problem if you travel to the US and return to India from the US.

You may want to provide a travel itinerary/purpose of visit for your Canada-US-India trip.... if you prove that you must leave Canada to visit the US + you will be returning to India from the US.... then it may improve your chances of getting the TRV

All the best :)
