Changing passport during visa application. Any impact?

Dear people,

I would like to renew my passport due change in particulars (address). Will renewing the passport impact my ongoing super visa application in any way? Please advise.

Why? Passports do not contain your address as far as I know, at least Canadian passports do not and no other countries that I have heard.

Indian passport does. Is there an impact to the application?

You have to update IRCC with the new address and the new passport number, using a web form. Or wait till your visa is stamped in the old passport and then go for renewal.

Renewing the passport has no impact on the processing of your application.

Once done, send a scan of the new passport to IRCC via webform.
