So.. I just got me COPR, YAYNESS!

BUT! It's in my maiden name and I have to send it back for corrections. I'm worried that they may now say I have to submit a new application and start all over again, but that seems extreme to me.

Does any one have any experience with this situation? IE have to send back the PR for a new name correction?

I sent along my updated Passport and ID just for verification along with proof that I did try to reach out VIA email to CPC-O, but did not receive a response (and yes, I sent it to the right place because I did get an automated confirmation of receipt response)

thanks for your help!

You are supposed to check the COPR for any inaccuracies. You wouldn't need to reapply, just wait for the new one to be issued with the correction(s).

I assume you had already informed CIC when your name changed officially, as you are supposed to do. Automated replies just mean it was a valid email address. In addition to email, you should always send a physical copy of any documentation, as there are many issues with emails not being processed/received, despite having an automatic reply.

Okay. I'm just nervous.

but yes I emailed then ASKING when/if I need to resubmit so I guess I'm not surprised they didn't respond. I imagine they probably get a lot of emails.

Thanks.
