Changing last name to spouses after getting pr

I live in Ontario as citizen. my husband who just became a permanent resident wants to take my last name. How does he get my last name on his Canadian documents despite his passport having his old last name? We want his health card and Ontario id card and p.r card wen it eventually arrive to have it.

You’d need to update the passport - is it a Canadian passport? Once you have your marriage certificate you can update everything.

Sorry- just saw he is PR. You’d need to update the passport name first then renew the PR card. I’m currently doing this with my UK passport. It’s a annoyingly long process. Driving license etc you can do at service Ontario with marriage certificate.
