Changing job when applied for Common law spouse sponsorship

Good morning,

My boyfriend and I have applied for Common law spouse sponsorship. (My boyfriend is sponsoring me. )
We are pretty close to the final stage in this process. I've finished the medical exam a couple months ago.

Can my boyfriend change his job? The government has his current job's contract which could be very important to judge/finalize the sponsorship towards me.
I wonder if he can officially change his job to another company in this situation?

I eould appreciate any help.
