Yeah, but my mailing address is the same (in Canada, where my relatives are living). So may be there is no need to update mailing address?

If you're mailing address is the same, then there's no need to change it.

Yeah... But is it mandatory to inform CIC that my residing address is US ? (someone told above that if I don't do it then it can lead to refusal of application)

No one said it is a reason for refusal, but it could. Read your AOR, CIC asked you to keep them updated
about your like almost everything. What's the problem in doing it?
Just keep them updated dude. There's nothing wrong with moving to the US, or switching jobs.
Do you have anything to hide?

I don't have anything to hide.

I just was afraid that they may not like that I move and US and conclude that I actually don't want live in Canada (see message of Bibilotaky above about someone who moved to US and got rejected by Canadian immigration).

No, I know of cases where people HAD to leave canada because they couldnt get their visa extended and stuff.
It's totally fine to leave. CIC will assess your application based on what you've submitted, not based on where you are right now, or
what you are doing right now.

All right, thanks :)
Should I just send mail to Sydney?

Email CPP-O. Or check your AOR for instructions. Haven't received AOR yet, but I remember people
saying that there were instructions on how to keep CIC updated.

Most people who apply to immigrate to Canada live outside Canada -- do you really think CIC has an active prejudice towards foreign addresses? They accept Americans who are living in America; they accept Americans who are living abroad; they accept Americans who are living in Canada; they accept foreigners who are living in Canada; they accept foreigners who are living in America; they accept foreigners who are living abroad.

They specifically asked you to update your address when you move.

Which is more likely to cause a problem in your application: having an American address, or not updating your address?
