I applied for PR at the end of February 2013 (I have 1 year work experience in Canada).
At the beginning of March I moved to work in US.
I got AOR at the beginning of April, and now I am waiting for Medical Request (I guess it will be around November).

Should I necessarily inform CIC that I changed my job and moved to US ?
Can they think that working in US means that I actually don't want to live in Canada, and reject my case?

My citizenship is not US.

You should at least update your mailing address on CIC's website.

Just keep them updated with your current mailing address.

What's about if I live in US, but I am planning to use the same Canadian mailing address, since my friends or relatives are living there ?

Yes, you can keep the mailing address same as current and just update the residing address.

Is it mandatory to update residing address? What could happen if I will not do it?

I explain why I am asking: I am afraid that CIC can think that moving to US means that I actually don't want to live in Canada, and reject my case (my citizenship is not US).

I think its better to not update your mailing adress
I will explain you why ( by the way i got my PR)
First all comunications with cic will be mostly by email
I checked my mailing adress during more than 1 year for nothing
I got my medicals by email
Second i have a friend who applied for quebec , he escaped in usa and after 6months
He got a rejection because he is living in usa . I heard that he was forced to apply a second time
Third after you got your medicals they send you an email to know your job background since 1year or2 years ( depends on the time you waited) I forgot the name of the application Imm something and a biodata, at that time you can explain that you were in usa temporarly ( my case is i was living in an other province)
At that point of the process they will giv you papers like 2weeks to 1month so no need to lie about your adress

If you managed to land a job in the US, try to score a green card. I don't see why anyone would opt for a PR if a green card is now attainable. Do you have family here?

No, this is temporary one-year contract job, and there is no family in US

It is not required to remain in Canada during processing, this would not in any way be grounds for rejecting your file. If you were approved and got your PR, but did not return to Canada in time to meet the residency requirements, you would loose your status anyway.

On the other hand, if you don't inform CIC that you moved to the USA, that WOULD be grounds for refusal.

Agreed. Just keep them updated and you're fine.

How do you know this? Is it official information? You know some cases?
(just for the case, I got my AOR at April, but didn't receive medical request yet)

CIC asked you to keep them updated when you got your AOR, so I would just follow the instructions and do it. ::)

Yeah, but my mailing address is the same (in Canada, where my relatives are living). So may be there is no need to update mailing address?

If your mailing address hasn't changed - don't change it.

Ensure they still have a contact number / e-mail address for you.
