Can we start another program after 1st semester. I would like to switch my program from bachelor of Computer science 4 yrs to 2 yrs diploma in Petroleum.

Yes u can...once u got visa and reached thr u can change course and college. ..

not advisable anymore. only if you are moving to a program which is in a university and is of the same level or a higher level. any wrong decision may adversely effect your chances of getting PR later on.

My question is similar,

My with is my dependent and we are both waiting our passports with TRVs and study permits. Can she change her status to OWP at the POE? or once we land? if both, which one do you think is better/faster?

Or as I am reading, it is not advisable at all?

Thanks!

1. If you are a post secondary student, you can change your school at any level without applying for a new SP.
2. Changing your school has nothing to do with PR application.

What about PGD? we can change college/course or not? Does it effect our PR? If we change PGD to Post Secondary Diploma?

Hello bro..
Can u tell me about my case ?
I scored 6 bands and also accepted by Fleming college for WIN program i.e.PG diploma 2 yrs.. My file is in processing for sep intake.. Well, i want to change my college before the classes starts.. Coz few jobs are available in Peterborough. Tell me, as the other colleges in Toronto requires 6.5 bands for PGD and 6 bands for Post Secondary Diploma. My band score is equivalent for Post secondary if i change college.. Will it create problems for PR if i choose Post secondary course? As the level of study is going to decrease? And if later on i plan for Masters can i get admission in university after Post secondary course ? as i'm graduated in India.
