Changing condition WP before Federal process. HELP!

Hi guys,

I have a question before applying to the federal process... Basically, all my docs are ready to go but my wife needs to do a medical exam today to change a condition on her Work Permit (work in a health care field). She will have to submit that request to the CIC after the medical exam to have a new WP.

So, do I have to wait until she gets the new WP or can I submit my federal application right now?
