Hi

I am going to be a student in Canada in next two months for only 3 months, it is a professional course.
1- Is it possible to stay in Canada if I found a job after finishing my course?
2- What should I do to change my study visa to work visa? How long does it take?
Is it complicated process or not, Could you please help me know more?

Thanks

1)assuming for such a short course you are just in Canada as a visitor and didn’t go to the trouble of applying for a study permit all you can do is extend stay as a visitor only with no ability to work

2)you would need to find an employer to support an LMIA application which they pay for in order to obtain a work permit

Yes - obtaining a work permit is a long and complicated process. Chances are extremely high you will not find an employer willing to go through the process. The employer must obtain an approved LMIA before you can apply for a work permit. To get an approved LMIA, the employer must advertise the job for a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role - and then wait an additional 2-4 months for the LMIA application to be processed (with no guarantee of approval). Most employers aren't willing to go through the process.
