change TRP to TRV for PR in progress applicant

I am currently in Canada with TRP with outside PR application in progress (married to a Canadian citizen) . My TRP has condition which does not authorize re-entry to Canada.

I need to leave Canada temporary, can I apply from inside Canada to change my TRP to TRV via IMM 5708? Or should I apply for a brand new TRV from inside Canada?

Why do you hold a TRP? Typically this is reserved for those who are inadmissible. If you are inadmissible, then you don't qualify for a TRV.

Note that TRV does not guarantee re-entry. So if you leave Canada, always some risk you won't get back in.

I had PGWP, which was expiring and I've asked to extend my stay and change conditions to a visitor to allow me to remain in Canada.
