I am inland CEC applicant, have received medical request. I recently got married and in process of adding spouse to my application. My Employer is asking me to move for one project in Pakistan which will be for more than an year. My Employer has asked me to share timeline when I can move on that project. My questions are below

1) How much estimated time will it take for passport request from now if I am able to add my spouse by the end of august 2014.
2) Should I ask CIC to change my Visa office for stamping.
3) Can I move to Pakistan in a month or so, and when CIC sends request for passport I can ask them to change visa stamping to Pakistan location?

[red]You should tell CPC regarding your marriage and ask them to give you the list of documents needed to add a spouse. It varies by case to case basis really hard to tell a tentative time. An average 4 weeks to 20 weeks[/red]

You should email CPC Ottawa to change your address after you arrive in Pakistan or update it by yourself online in ECAS . Upon receiving of PPR CIC gives 60 days to submit the passports. However, you send a request email to change the office to Islamabad for visa stamping.

Thanks for replying....I have already updated CIC for change of status and got a reply back for documents...arranging all required documents now a days

Is changing the Visa stamping office after getting passport request allowed? Will it impact my Visa issuance or is it a normal scenario for CIC

It is perfectly normal. No, it does not impact at all.

Thanks. One thing more I need to ask is, What steps should I take so that my time count towards citizen ship doesn't gets stop. I mean what things I need to ask the Employer to provide me with. I have initiated a request of being transferred as Canadian employee. Advice required from all specially those who have had similar experience.

Working for a Canadian company overseas, the time doesn't count towards citizenship.
