Change of status to Visitor Visa / Study permit

Hi , I'm a student who took a leave of absence from my studies from January 2022- May 2022. So i was wondering if I have to change my status from Student to Visitor for the time being, since I will resume my studies on September, if so, is the a procedure to reinstate my status back to student?

Are you on an approved leave? Since you are on such a long break of more than 150 days you need to change your status to visitor and apply for a new study permit.

You don’t meet study permit conditions are your leave is more than 150 days if you haven’t been studying since December. What are you doing now? See link under LEAVE FROM STUDIES. You need to change status to visitor. Then read CHANGE OF STATUS bout your study permit.
