Change of employment under the Young Professional visa

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me.

I have applied for the Young Professional Visa which is valid for a year for one employer. Once I have received my temporary work permit it will state this employer but what if I need to change employers. Is this possible before I got to Canada or whilst I am in Canada already?

The visa you will be receiving is a closed work permit tied to a specific employer. If you want to work for a different employer - then you will either need to apply for a new Young Professional Visa or your new employer will have to obtain an approved LMO (labour market opinion) after which you will have to apply for a new closed work permit.
