Hello everyone,
I applied for an adult legal name change in Ontario and still waiting for it to process.
When it is all set an done, I'll get a certificate showing old name and a new name.

I have a valid Canadian passport. Will I be able to get a new passport right away or do I have to apply for a new certificate of citizenship showing the new name? I was not born in Canada.

Are you sure the new certificate would have both your old and new names? Once you have the new one, check with the passport office.

That's what I was told.

But this isn't the citizenship certificate!
Sorry was my question not clear ?....
Would I be able to use a name change certificate showing old and new name with old citizenship certificate showing old name can be used to get a new passport with the new name?
