Hi,

Currently, Im on my PGWP, which is expiring soon. I got accepted into a program starting fall. I've applied for study permit. I was wondering, while waiting for my study permit after my work permit expires, am I on implied status?

Yes, I'm aware. Im okay as long as I'm on implied status. I heard someone say that when you switch over from work permit to student permit, and if your work permit expires before your student permit arrives, you're not on implied stauts, which to me didn't make sense.

I had the same question and my understanding was that you are not allowed to work but you can remain in Canada until the decision is made. I think it's still Implied Status but you cannot continue to work.
