Dear All,

Effective 01.1.2010 our POF stands marginally "increased". This is what OP6, 9.2 states now:

Funds Required
CAD
-$ 11,086 (1, Self only)
-$ 13,801 (2 Family Members)
-$ 16,967 (3 Family Members)
-$ 20,599 (4 Family Members)
-$ 23,364 (5 Family Members
-$ 26,350 (6 Family Members)
-$ 29,337 (7 or More Family Members)

Note: The amounts listed in this table are valid for January 1st to December 31st, 2010.
Ref: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf

The previous figures (till 31 Dec 2009) were:
CAD
-$ 10,833 (1, Self only)
-$ 13,486 (2 Family Members)
-$ 16,580 (3 Family Members)
-$ 20,130 (4 Family Members)
-$ 22,831 (5 Family Members
-$ 25,749 (6 Family Members)
-$ 28,668 (7 or More Family Members)

Hence, from now on we need to cater for a slightly higher amount. This is going to affect everyone on this cause, moreso for guys like me, who had been waiting since mid 2009 after medicals, or PPR; and now are going to do our landings in another 2-3 months in 2010, uhh !

Qorax.

Yes Brother,

It affects all: -moving to Canada this yr, or visa recd but not landed, or applying now, or meds/PPR expected now etc. etc.

If we are not yet 'in Canada', it affects us.

Regards.

Yes Bro,

Even if it's marginal, there are lot many of us who'd yet be pinched. Cases whose family is large are already bugged-up; and every penny is a further "kick in the ...." !

And also, cases who have already submitted their POF to CIC/CHC, if it falls short, they'd be asked to resubmit another 'latest POF', that might delay a few case files.

Sad !

Boss(Qorax) you are always ahead and well informed. Many thanks
Benny

Dear...
Bobby, Rupesh, Rocky, Huanhuan, Sanjeev, Sigfrid, Sunny, Nit4 & Benny,

Thank you !
The pleasure is entirely mine...

Warm regards,
Qorax.

Qorax, if I have funds parked in various liqued instruments like equity and debt funds are they counted as POF. These funds can be encashed in 2 to 3 days

To Qorax,

Excellent Captain!!! You are the True Captain of our Boat..... :D :D ;D

Regards,
