My daughter had got her PR visa when she was single. But meanwhile she got married to a person already working in Canada against work permit for last 6 months. He has already applied his PR individually before the marriage. The marriage took place in a very short span of time . When the couple landed in Canada, my daughter immediately told the immigration officer that her marital status has now changed from single to married. The immigration officer kept my daughter's passport and gave her a document which notified that the passport was with them. The couple was allowed to enter Canada but they have asked her to come after a few days to know the final verdict as they didnt make her sign the COPR. The immigration officer claims that my daughter's husband is dependent on her but both have entered Canada on their individual basis. My daughter has entered for her PR and her husband had entered on the basis of work permit.
What will be the consequences?
Will my daughter be allowed to stay in Canada with her husband or will she be asked to go back?
