I came to Canada last July to study english. My study permit its valid until june 2024. My english course finish on march/24. I got accepted to study a 2 year program in public college starting may/24. I am really confused about what’s the process for me.
1 do i need a complete new study permit? Or just to extend/change the one I have already?
2. Do i need attestation letter?
3. Can I just inform IRCC of the change of DLI online?
Please give me advise, I am really confused about the process.

thanks

You can apply for an extension. Yes you will need an attestation letter. It will likely be extremely difficult to get an approval letter for May 2024 start date even if you get a provincial attestation. The only option would be to flagpole if you are able to get a provincial attestation for you to attend the 2 year program. What is the program and at what school? There are a lot of unknowns and it is unclear who will be able to get a provincial attestation especially in provinces like Ontario, BC and Nova Scotia who will need to be very selective in terms of who they award provincial attestation letters to since demand is much higher than spots available. Depending on the program and school I would be considering applying to a school in another province and attending school outside Ontario.
