Change employer on BOWP

Hi,

My current status in Canada is I'm on a closed Work Permit. However, I received my ITA and have successfully provided all my documents. Currently, I am eligible to get a BOWP.
My question is that can I change my job and work with different employer on BOWP, keeping in mind that my initial status was a closed work permit?

You can change employers once your BOWP is approved.

Obviously you'll want to make sure you aren't claiming points for having a job offer. If by any chance you are claiming points for having a job offer, then don't change employers until PR is approved.

For sure I haven't claimed points for job offer.

What I am reading and listening is that on getting BOWP I can work in Canada but with the same employer. The reason being my status before BOWP was that I could work only with specified employer.

BOWP is an open work permit with no employer listed. Once the BOWP is approved, you can change employers.
