Hello Everyone !
I searched far and wide on this forum but did not see anyone with my situation or question. I am hoping someone here can post back a well informed answer. I landed in Ottawa to take up a Multimedia Development course at Algonquin College. I did research a lot and initially liked the program. My study permit is valid until jan 2012. Now after visiting the college, attending a day of class and checking out the facilities and industry interaction oppurtunities I realize this is one grand mistake.

I am pondering if I could try these options :

a) Could I ask the college to refund my fees back and then start looking for another college / course ? If i do so and if I am not able to get into a course for January 2011, can I legally remain in Canada until my next start date ( I guess its Sep 2011 ) ?

b) I qualified under the SPP program to get this VISA. Am I allowed to transfer to a University course in another province ? ( U Manitoba has a program that suits my profile, But i am totally unsure if its too late to try to transfer now )

c) Should I call CIC and explain my predicament ?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanx
:)

I think regarding your problem, like university transfers and refunds, it is better to contact the staff and faculties of your university.
Rules may vary from one university to another. In general, the faster you decide to do refund the better and the less penalty will be. The credits for the courses should be transferable, but again you have to finish some, and again the rules may vary.
Good luck.
