No official answer for this question. I was also looking for this information and i end up with this

International student must attend class. if he/she want to withdraw form program then must show offer letter for another program to your college. They can inform CIC if you don't attend classes without having withdrawal.

For Post graduation students, There is no need to inform CIC about college change. -> Official

what if international student want to change program from post graduate diploma to diploma after getting study permit. In the same college .. just different intake ..

As per the rules of CIC, International student must attend class. Otherwise SP will be cancelled if they came to know student is not doing anything. Don't know anything about the next intake ? I also need same info from official source.

u can change program as well as change college after study permit
just u cannot have a gap meaning u cannot skip a sem in canada ......people who tell u this cannot be done would be ur agent he wont get paid if u change. u just need to make sure ur not out of college/university meaning if u start ur sem i one college and then dont like it ...u should wait for new admission/new start date and not drop ur current course right away.......

thanks for clarifying a bit..
Thing is , I applied for 2 year PG diploma for may intake just bcoz of study permit ( as I recently graduated from uni . mbbs ) . but I am more interested in a 2 year post secondary diploma in the same college, which starts in September.
Now , IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE MY COURSE RIGHT AFTER GETTING APPROVAL FROM CHC (fingers crossed ) and enter Canada on the basis of September intake.. or first I gotta enter Canada ( as immigration officer grants SP at the point of entry ) and then change the course ?
