Hey Guys,

I wanted to know if I can change my college or University after getting Visa for a different University
Thing is my change college is in Quebec and I understand that one requires CAQ for study permit there.
Or
Do I need to apply again for the study permit???

TIA

Same Question -
If i get visa for Concordia University College of Alberta for Fall Batch (MISSM) and then i get acceptance letter from
University of Lethbridge for January batch.

What will be the procedure as both universities are in same Province. Would re-applying for study visa extension be needed as my visa would be four months less for lethbridge.

..Seniors Please put some light on this issue

One can change college/University or level of study (masters to PHD) without any change in already approved study permit;

read the following;

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=487&t=15

Post-secondary student

You may change your school, program and/or field of study without applying for a new study permit. You do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either. You may continue to use your study permit as long as it is valid.
If you are changing your level of study (e.g., bachelor’s to master’s), you do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either.

Cheers!

Sabby thnkx for replying.
But how about one changing university program at same level, say from BC province to Quebec.
Does above statement hold true in that case also...as for Quebec study permit one requires CAQ,hence I'm little skeptical.
Also can someone then directly land at changed university city port or one has to go original university city first ??
Has anyone does this before ...Pls share ur thoughts!!!!
