Chaing Parent's name in my Passport after getting PR and Landing in Canada

Hi All,

I am a PR holder. I landed in Canada a year back and have been staying since then.

I am in process of sponsoring my parent's visitor visa to travel to Canada. Incidentally, there is minor mismatch in my parent's names written on their individual passports and the ones written on the last page of my passport. So, I was wondering if it is possible to correct my parent's names on my passport from within Canada? Is it possible to submit an application to Indian Embassy in Canada/Toronto and get the details corrected?

Corrections required are minor.

Father's name on my passport: Anilbhai Mukund Patel
My father's name on his passport: Anil Mukund Patel

Mother's name on my passport: Ramila Anilbhai Patel
My mother's name on her passport: Ramila Anil Patel

Is it possible to sponsor my parent's visitor visa application without getting the names corrected?
