Hi everyone,

Almost done with filling the application forms, and wondering for certifying the copy of all the documents at the notary public in Canada, how much do you expect to pay and how long does it to take them to get done(like a couple days??)?
I really appreciate if anyone can give me any information! ;)

Thanks!

And just where on the document checklist do see that documents have to be notarized? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.PDF

Hi,

it doesn't say on the check list, but it says on the Instruction Guide(IMM5609)"step1: gather documents"

Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.
Who can certify copies?

Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

a commissioner of oaths
a notary public
a justice of the peace
