Certified translation of police clearance certificate

Hello every one.

Would you please let me know if I get my police certification from a countty abroad and officially translate it in my home country, it is acceptable for Canada embassy or I have to officially translate it in the country where issued from.

Hello everyone.

Would you please let me know if I get my police clearance certificate from Italy in Italian language and officially translate it in my home country which is different from Italy, it would be acceptable for Canada embassy or it must be officially translated in Italy.
