I have 4 docs that need to be translated into english. Would one affidavit from the translator be enough that should mention all the 4 docs in it and finally say that the translation is true and complete representation of the original text OR each doc should have a separate affidavit!!
Secondly, if i get one doc X translated into english, i also need to get photocopy of the doc X notorised / certified, and this certified copy of doc X, english translation and affidavit has to be sent to CIC. I don't need to get the english translation notorised / certified !! please tell whether what i understood is correct ??
Can someone share the contents of an affidavit that has to be submitted alongwith english translation.

1) Yes one affidavit is enough and he can mention the name of docs as A,B,C,D and A1,B1,C1,D1

2) When you translate a document into English you need to send

a) Notarised Photocopy of original doucment

b) Notarised tranlsation (Yes you do need to get the english translation notorised / certified)

c) Affidavit from translator

Thanks

Yes agreed with pittabread,

Also the person attesting the document needs to write the following on the documents which he is attesting

1) Photocopies of the originals
"I certify that this is a true copy of the original ....................(Document Name)" + stamp with name & position and date.
2) English Translations
"I certify that this is a true translation of the original ................(Document Name)" + stamp with name & position and date.

Thanks
