Oh dang! Never heard of it either. Nice PMM...I would have just dismissmed it as something, someone made up (one of those 'a friend of mine told me'). lolPMM said:You may have never heard of it, but for sponsorship applications in the Phillippines it is required.
Does this apply to CEC applications as well?PMM said:Hi

Yes. Reffer to pmm extract.iam_toby said:Does this apply to CEC applications as well?
Can't find that part on the CEC checklist, that's why I'm asking.jsm0085 said:Yes. Reffer to pmm extract.
jes_ON said:"sponsorship" refers to Family Class applications. If the OP is applying under CEC, then the form doesn't apply.
The bigger question - does the OP's partner qualify as common-law if they don't live together? I think not : ( Perhaps its time to get married...

Common-law partner
You are a common-law partner—either of the opposite sex or the same sex—if:
you have been living together in a conjugal relationship for at least one year in an ongoing 12-month period (you are allowed short absences for business travel or family reasons).
You will need proof that you and your common-law partner have combined your affairs and set up a household together. This can be in the form of proof of:
joint bank accounts or credit cards.
joint ownership of a home.
joint residential leases.
joint rental receipts,
joint registration or payment of utilities (electricity, gas, telephone),
joint management of household expenses,
joint purchases, especially of household items, or
mail addressed to either person or both people at the same address.
