Hi Guys

I have a couple of questions about my working hours as EE CEC applicant.

#1. I received my full time job offer letter dated on 1st March from my employer this year, then I started to work full time since that date, but my new wage and benefit was applied since 27th March. In this case, when is the date that I can start counting as my working hours for EE - 1st or 27th March?

#2. I have worked 26-28 hours a week for 2 weeks so far... in this case, those weeks are considered as a part-time so I can combine them into 1 week of full time?

??? Don't quite understand. It sounds like you had a previous (non-eligible?) position with the same employer, and changed jobs within the same company, is that correct?

Regardless of the date the letter was written, there is an "effective" date of employment (or for starting that position), it sounds like it was 27 March. You will need to get a letter of reference (the job offer letter is not a letter of reference), so you can ask what date they will use as the start date for that position.

Yes.

Hi Jes_ON,

Thanks for your reply.

For more details, they promoted me to a full-time food service manager from a crew (part-time) with the letter saying that they agreed to hire me as the new position starting the date of 1st March and I started to get trained since that date. And the new wage was applied as the date of 27th March.

Date of wage is not important, the start date of the position is. A training period still counts.

But again, check with your employer about what start date they will put in the letter of reference.
