Hi all,
I would like to thanx in advance if some one can answer my question.

I started working from 4th july 2019 as ATM technician on contract basis. I worked almost every week approx 40 hours per week.
But unfortunately my father passed away in January and i had to go italy for 2 weeks. So 0hours for those 2 weeks. And i had to be in self isolation for 2 weeks for covid 19.

But at the end of year i have working hours more than 1560. Should i work for 1 more month or its okay to apply.

Regards
Pradeep singh

Was any of your time off unpaid? If so, you need to work longer. You can only count 30 hours per week.

Once you have worked for 52 weeks, full time (at least 30 hours every single week) you will qualify for CEC.

You should have read that IRCC does not count any hours worked beyond 30 each week. That is why you need 52 weeks to do this.

In terms of time off, usually 2-3 weeks of paid vacations can be counted towards your Canadian work experience. Any unpaid leaves are not. Hence you cannot count those 4 week you mentioned.

You have so far worked for 42 weeks and 6 days (without counting those 4 weeks). So you need to work for another 9 weeks and 1 day before you qualify. Approximately July 30, 2020
