Hi
I graduated from centennial college Toronto in mechanical engineering technician - design program and now
I am working as CNC machinist in Edmonton, Alberta. My job is a trade which requires a trade certificate issued by a recognized regulatory authority in Canada but I don't have that certificate. My employer hire me on the basis of my skill and experience on college level. So my question is that am i eligible to apply under CEC category ? I am working from last 13 months at same place. I applied under AINP but they refused my file.

I don't think you will be asked a Trade certificate if you apply under CEC.

As you already mentioned you have related study background, You should be good.

Good Luck

You should be fine through cec, the certificate is for reference, as long as you have the fact of working for your employer.

According to your NOC, trade certification is available but not mandatory to work. Lack of certification is not a problem.

Hello Kamalmann15
Iam Rupesh From chennai, India.
I have done Tool And Die Maker course in 2005 from NTTF and since then have been working as Tool And Die maker.
Sorry to bother you I have a couple of questions. Iam planning to come to canada as a student on a machinist course(NAIT - Edmonton) and then try to find work as a machnist. How are job opportunities for Machinist in Alberta generally.
Also would like to know if you were successful in getting the PR through Canadian experience class. You response would be much appreciated .

Thank you
Rupesh
