I have Canadian work experience in 2 different NOCs for 2 years.

First one is between Aug 2014 and Aug 2016(15 hours/week) =1560 hours.
Second one is between Jan 2016 and now = 1560 hours. (My current job)

But I am given points just for 1 year of experience. Is it because of the overlapping time period?

make sense ?
You must have earned at least one year of full-time skilled work experience (or the equivalent in part-time) in Canada within the three years before we receive your application for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class. Your skilled work experience does not have to be continuous but it must total one year of full-time work altogether.

“Full-time” means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week. One year of full-time work is at least 1560 hours.

I don't get it. So I don't qualify for 2years of work experience under CEC?
not for 2 years , you do get points for 1 year as you mentioned .

Full Time

30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Part time

15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
OR
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than one job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed.

If you do not show that your experience meets the description in the NOC, we will not accept your application.

Find out the NOC code, title and skill type or level for your job.

If your existing work permit is about to expire, you may be eligible for a bridging open work permit. If you are eligible, this permit can let you keep working while you wait for a final decision on your permanent residence application.

Yes.

uh oh my bad guys ! i didn't see that OP had mentioned Aug 2014 and Aug 2016 as the part time work in that case Del is Right .

Now since I am going to get CRS points for 1 year exp, can I show my part-time exp as it perfectly matches my education? Or is it better to show my full time exp?
Both jobs are well matched up with NOC duties and responsibilities.

Also Thank you so much for the quick replies.
