CEC When I am supposed to get points for WORK EXPERIENCE

Hello!

My question is quite simple and I want to see if anyone here had experienced it. My current EE score is 462 (without 2nd year of work experience)

I started working on May 7th, 2018. Been working for 2 years without any interruptions (40 hours/week). As I understand, I have to receive additional points on May 7th, 2020.

HOWEVER, I saw that some people received points prior to their full year of experience.

Is that the case?

Of course, there are tons of discussions about the impact of how the profile is set up to use only MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY. Because of this, the system will mark eligibility on the 1st day of the month preceeding your start date (in your case, the system will give you points in the beginning of April). Applicants must KNOW for themselves what they are eligible for.

In the case of the 2nd year, the consequence is for CRS points, not eligibility. In that case, it is OK to get the ITA before you finish the 2nd year, but you must finish the 2nd year before you submit your eAPR to keep the points for the 2nd year.

Thanks for your answer. But just to clarify, If in the profile I have MM/DD/YYYY format, shall I expect invitation only on May 7th?

Because, let's say if I get an invitation in April, I will still need to wait until May to get a letter from my employer, right?
