CEC uncertainty about immediate family

Hi, me and wife were recently received ITA and are in process of filling out the form. My wife is the primary applicant.

A little history about her parents. They separated when she was young and then her mother re married a few years after. they were not legally divorced as the father was just absent and both party just decided to separate mutually. Now in the immediate family tab, who would she put as her father?

Her passport still has her biological fathers name listed along with her mother.

She wants to add her stepfather in the immediate family tab but not sure about it.

they have marriage certificate of their recent marriage. Should she get an new passport with updated fathers name?

Any help is appreciated.

She needs to list her legal father, which is the biological father. It doesn't matter if she changes the name in her passport to her stepfather; he is still not her legal father. Her stepfather is not listed anywhere in the app.

Her father is her father, unless she had been adopted by her step-dad, the fact that her mom remarried doesn't mean she "switched" fathers.
