CEC, TRV, closed wokrpermit

Hi Folks,

I and my husband are working in Canada on a valid closed work permit, but our TRV is expired. We applied for CEC class and received ITA. Now, my question is if I am not going to cross the borders. Do I still need valid TRV during our stay in Canada until we receive the PR?

Please guide me, I do not want to miss this chance as we already received an ITA.

You only need a TRV if you want to travel outside of Canada. As long as your work permits are not expired, it means you have a valid status in Canada.
