Hi all

A couple of questions

I am currently working a NOC B Part-time job (15h/week), on a "contract basis ", but the employers that pay me and will me my T4 to file taxes. I work every Monday and Wendesday, hours written out on the contract, I work in their office, and the contract stipulates that I get paid twice a month. The contract is also indefinite (no end of term - i had to pass a 3 month probationary period and sign an NDA)- does this count under the hours? Im about 360 hours in right now

I am currently in search of another skilled/full time job. If i do quit my current job for the other one, will I be able to count the hours worked at the first job to consolidate 52 weeks (1560 hours)?

thanks

Sorry, not clear what you mean. Do they deduct taxes and provide you with a T4 (not a T4A)?

Is your question "Does the probationary period count"? Yes, of course, as long as it was paid employment.

I am currently in search of another skilled/full time job. If i do quit my current job for the other one, will I be able to count the hours worked at the first job to consolidate 52 weeks (1560 hours)?

Yes, you can change jobs and combine your experience.

Your part-time experience will be prorated (e.g. 360 hours /30 hours per week = 12 weeks of full-time equivalent (FTE) employment.

If you work full-time (30 or more hours per week), there is no need to count hours, just weeks. When you have a total of 52 weeks, you are eligible.
