Hi,

I am planning to apply for PR between 15-20th December as I am waiting for some documents.
After going through different threads on CEC cap (as reached) and EE process, could you please help me if I should wait till Jan or should submit application in december

1. I am working here from August' 2013 and I came here on LMO. My worp permit expires on 31st July 2015
2. I have Engineering degree and overrall 8 years of experience in Software Developement
3. My spouse is post-graduate (Engineering) and have 14 months of experience outside Canada. She was in Canada for 6 months and she is now outside Canada

I am not worried how much time application takes. I am planning to apply for PR and go back to India in January end. Now if CIC sends backs my application due CEC Cap, can I apply for Express Entry from outside Canada?

Please advise me based on above points. Thanks In advance.

According to CIC website the Cap has been reached on Nov 26, 2014. you might as well wait for EE.

I sent my application on October and I think its just matter of time before I get it back.

Good Luck

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp

This still shows caps not reached and if that is the case why there is no disclaimer below as they have for below

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/hire/cec.asp

I still think that is not the case yet , if some avid applicant should inquire this with CIC call center with this doubt .

don't be panic !

some page show reached, some show not.

so just sent it.

EE 's condition is more rigorously . if you give up CEC now, you may have gave up PR .

and suggest accelerate your submit as soon as possible not kidding.

oh, I check your history, you apply 2283 ? and you have a close work permit ?

so what's title for your work permit ? and do you have LMO what's title is it ?

I don't think they have reached the cap yet from the rate of their weekly progress. Maybe even until the end of December the cap won't reached the max. But I am basing this on their weekly progress, and that number might not reflect the correct one.

So if any of you have been postphoning submitting the application for CEC, might as well do it as soon as possible. They would refund and return your application once the cap has been reached. It is better than waiting and trying to understand how EE works. Hesitations might harm you more than the benefits. The first waves of applicants for EE might have higher failure rates & delayed process due to lack of understanding of the system.

Good luck to all of you~

I dont have issues in submitting the application but I am planning to go back to India in Mid of Jan. If by any chance, CIC returns my application, I wont be here to apply again through Express Entry. Hence I am not able to decide if I should submit now or wait for Express Entry.

??? Why not? What do you think would prevent you from re-applying through express entry?

Then, based on this logic of yours, you are not applying for Express Entry? That means, you need to submit your CEC as soon as possible then...

I will not be in Canada after 15th Jan, so if my application is returned due to cap issues after 15th Jan, I will not be able to apply through EE. Can I apply through EE if I am outside of Canada?

your answer is really confusing .

you can't apply EE ? or else ? why they return then you can't ?

go back to india means go back and lost job or else ?

if lost job, you should apply now CEC ,

if you didn't loss, you can come back try EE if you are confident with your point .
