CEC - Need urgent help(leaving before PR)

Hi All,

I've applied for PR Application and my work permit expired now and my company wanted me to go back to my home country but my PR Application is in process. So what will happen to my PR application if I leave the country ? Can I get the PR Card or will they stop processing the application ?

If you are applying under CEC, there is no requirement to be in Canada when the application is processed. All you have to do is let CIC know if you change your address. Once you get your PR visa, you can land in Canada within the time limit. You can give the address of a friend or a relative to get your PR card mailed to and they can then mail it to you when it arrives. You will have to meet the residency requirements of staying in Canada at least 730 days total every 5 years.
